Wouldn't it be nice if we had a government who gave a fuck and regulated the cunts, trouble is, I would imagine that they're creaming off the top so just let it happen.

Re: Car insurance claim
Some cunt drove drove into my wife's car last year. Claimed it was her fault (even though she was driving straight and he pulled out of a side road).
Because it was contested it showed as a claim when I was renewing my car insurance the fucking premium went up by £150.
Guy realised he didn't have a leg to stand on and admitted fault a month later. And it's taken 9 more months to get some sort of confirmation that she wasn't office lay at fault so I can now finally contact my insurers get my premium reduced.

Insurance companies are a bunch of cunts

Re: Car insurance claim
My car was written off by woman turning into me at a cross roads. The accident was clearly her fault but she protested her innocence and that I had been driving too fast. To cut a long story short, CCTV at the junction validated my story, her insurance company accepted liability and I got paid out. All good I thought until it came to insuring my car again.

Insurance companies work on the premise that if you are involved in an accident - regardless of blame that you are statistically more likely to be involved in another and bumped up my premium significantly. It is a total con. 18 years no claims, no points yet I'm penalised for some blind cow driving into the side of me.

What I would say is to shop around for insurance if you do claim or find a way to. There are some companies who won't bump your premium for no fault claims but most of the major ones do. Don't think you can claim from the other party and not tell them either. It's all on a linked computer system these days and they have visibility of it all.

Ornchurch- if I was your Mrs, when that renewal quote came through I would have felt late onset of whiplash and taken them for a couple of grand. The cheeky cunts.

Re: Car insurance claim
My missus was driving my car and she was hit up the rear causing some minor damage. Funnily enough she knew the women who hit her so there were no problems and we were going to sort it out privately before going through insurance. An obvious non fault settled claim.

Got renewal premium a few months later and there was an increase of a few hundred quid. When queried I was told that it was because I had made a claim. Complaining got it reduced but they will try it on.

Re: Car insurance claim
Ironic really that he had £1,000 cash in his pockets whilst we had him cornered. If we'd known we would have swiped that and used it to cover the 6 lots of excesses for the cars he damaged.

Re: Car insurance claim
Car insurance is the biggest fucking rip off going.
Get hit by an uninsured driver, they make out like it's your fault, you have to stump up shit loads for the excess and even then they always try and wriggle out of it.
Premiums go up all the time due to people not having insurance apparently which costs insures but in actual fact costs you as they hike the prices up.

I would have tried to get hold of this little cunt and made him pay for the damage. Keep the insurance rip off merchants out of it.

Re: Car insurance claim
I don't know the answer to your question about potential impact on your premium if you claim, but if you do decide to sort it out yourself, my company now uses this outfit with excellent low-cost results.

Re: Car insurance claim
The system seems to be so unfair these days I think I would get it done as it's only a shade over your excess and then try to claim off the little shit that caused the damage.
